Before you start on Yoga...

As all of us know how difficult it is to do and continue yoga on your own. Ask yourself a few questions before you join yoga or any other fitness classes.

First question should be "Why do you want to do Yoga?" It tells you the reason as to why you are starting and also the results you are expecting from it.

Second Queston is "How long?" This will help you determine how many days or months or year are you going to practice it, you are now fixing your target.

Recall all the silly reasons you might use to skip the classes, and compare how important are they than your goal of learning yoga and its results.

Everyday recall your aim and reason to have joined the classes.

Tell to yourself "If Not Now Then Never".

With these questions and thoughts start into your yoga or fitness class, and then see how you will enjoy the daily practice and achieve your results. At the end of the day, its all about developing positive attitude within ourselves.

Just as they say 'All is Well That Ends Well"

Yoga, Ayurveda, and Stress

STRESS is a non specific, conventional ,phylogenetic basic response pattern of a body

Stress responses in the body can be described at two levels - psychological and physical.

At psychological level, is an alertness of our mind and body towards any demanding, and potentially dangerous situations.
At physical level, there is an increase in the heart rate and blood pressure, increase in the breathing rate, increase of tone in our muscle (such as stiffness), changes in our digestive system (like butterflies in      stomach, irritable bowels, etc), increased sweating, and uncontrolable rapid movements of our eyeballs.

Causes of Stress: The factors that mainly influence basic response of stress to physically threatening manifestations are:
- prolonged, unchanged postures
- cribbing, or mulling over a thought continuously
- emotional disturbances of various kinds
- constantly under one emotional pressure or the other
- overdoing of any work.

The Two Wheels of Yoga

Yoga runs on two wheels REGULARITY and AWARENESS.
The real benefits of yoga can be achieved completely only when one runs on these two wheels simultaneously.
Yoga can be carried out throughout the day, or yoga can be merged with one's daily routine activities.
All one needs to do is to keep a track on one's BREATHING.
Breath in and Breath out with awareness throughout the day, and you will automatically arise to the yoga mode; because yoga is union, the union of your body and mind.
